M&M is a staffing & recruiting firm that specializes in labour roles, seeking expansion into professional services with a vision to digitally transform and automate the staffing & recruiting process, and bring it beyond North York, to North America and the Middle East.
About the Client
How we innovated
As part of a 6 figure value multi-year transformation strategy, we’ve designed and implemented the first phase of this transformation starting with an assessment of the most critical operation divisions to identify gaps, opportunities for innovation, and map initial next steps for transformation. This laid the foundation for the client to pilot in house implementations.
Leadership is preparing for a new facility, and had tried to expand into professional services. They realized that their systems were not consistent, and workflows needed upgrading. There was a vision for digital transformation and market expansion, leadership knew they had to do something different, that’s where they tapped us in.
What was happening
What changed
Leadership gained visibility into real pain and friction points masked to leadership, where effort was being lost, clear prioritization of operational fixes vs. hiring more people, clear phased upgrades, and more. This set a true foundation for future systems and process upgrades.
This gave M&M the foundation to pursue market expansion into professional services, and into the US & Middle East markets.

The IST is a community rooted charity that has served its community for decades, now funded after community changes led to its property being expropriated, it faced the very fast change in reality of operational scale and functionality, as well as resource capacity.
About the Client
How we innovated
With the sudden change, we defined and designed the pathway for the organizations growth over the next decades, shaping a full organizational transformation plan encompassing community relations, program offering expansion, services, and more. This included a growth plan to serve an expanded community across the province.
The IST now well funded and moving into a few facility was facing multiple challenges, operationally, community relations, planning, growth, succession planning, and more. They needed a strong vision and plan for where they were going. Leadership knew that they needed to think and act differently as they were now more than a charity, they were now a community hub. This vision and plan had to look at the short term challenges, and long term growth for a sustainable stable future.
What was happening
Leadership receive a clear long term direction for what now lies ahead, where the hurdles are, how to navigate them, and how to excel. Programming and initiatives that truly aligned with real community needs, and a roadmap leadership could confidently fund and implement.

Storm Cell was a pre-seed startup with a focus on Battery Management Systems. Their objective was to enable proper management and operation of energy storage solutions & systems, and reduce the lead time to produce a battery system and cost by not relying on a single battery manufacturer. This would greatly enhance the power grid to meet power demands. This is where their Hybrid Batter Management System (BMS) comes in, allowing the mixing and matching of different battery types and super capacitors.
About the Client
How we innovated
As an advisor, we guided them through strategy, product, and market fit challenges supporting Storm Cell leading to a strong market strategy and securing 2 rounds of pre-seed grant funding to develop physical prototypes.
Storm Cell faced challenges, they had to develop a proof of concept beyond digital modelling, and secure seed funds. With much larger competitors such as Tesla, Samsung, LG and more, they needed to find their market entry points and market fit.
What was happening
They received the required grants, and space to start development of their prototype. Our support guided various market entry points and guided their networking efforts with industry partners that resulted in partnership offers as well as clear business development routes.
