FEATURED PROJECTS
Leaside-Thorncliffe-Flemingdon Community-Led Revitalization
Its objective is simple, to create a community-led revitalization initiative that looks at the future for the next 10, 50 and 100 years. To develop the neighbourhoods we call home without displacing the local community, businesses, or culture. Acknowledging and leveraging the fact that it is the residents, the businesses, and the local culture that make these areas unique.
There's 2 parts to how we're redefining how communities are being shaped; a new community engagement approach, and a holistic Urban, Social, and Economic (UES) Development Plan.
Through a community first approach, we integrate community voices and visions into the planning process early on before concepts are finalized and engage several community groups and demographics to hear from as many people as we can. This unique approach involves the community in the problem solving and future vision process, versus the current approach where decisions are made by local authorities, concepts and plans made, approvals secured, and community engagement later in the process where it becomes difficult to make meaningful change to meet community needs due to the time, money, and effort already put prior to community engagement. This makes our approach not only inclusive, inspiring, personal, and innovative, but also more economic and saves taxpayer money to correct mistakes or make adjustments due to engaging the community late in the process, and not engaging enough to have the impact needed by large community changes.
Our Urban, Economic, and Social Development Plan is a holistic approach to breaking down the community building blocks and a holistic approach to how community changes, redevelopment, and revitalization should take place.
Urban Development enhances physical infrastructure, improves public space, and promotes green initiatives to make communities more livable with higher quality of life while achieving environmental sustainability. Our vision is to start with temporary installations as part of our community engagement efforts leading into long-term and permanent enhancements to the urban fabric.
Social Development starting with our Community Engagement process, is designed to strengthen the social fabric. Through enhanced educational opportunities, health services, and community programs that promote social cohesion and cultural diversity, our social development plan enhances and enriches communities’ social realm.
Economic Development initiatives focus on supporting local businesses, attracting new investments, and creating diverse employment opportunities to stimulate economic growth and stability. This starts with understanding challenges and concerns of the community to provide expert advice and shape various economic development programs in support with project partners for short and long term impact. This takes place simultaneously with exploring new ideas in both a local and global context, and working with all stakeholders and project partners to develop and provide needed resources.
Our goal is to make the LTF CR project a case study highlighting critical flaws in the current development approach, whether for new development or government projects, utilizing this once in a generation opportunity to not only address impacted communities, but to look forward to the future and develop impactfully for existing and future communities.
Working with local organizations, residents, and youth, we've hosted several workshops where participants have the opportunity to outline challenges, vision, and thoughts, but to problem solve and ideate for current and future challenges. This input is then translated into actionable approaches to be shared in our Urban, Social, and Economic (USE) Development Plan.
This project has been created and is being led by A77 in collaboration with local organizations and is not sponsored or funded by any entity. To financially support this project, please contact us at hello@a77inc.com with the subject "LTF CR".
youtH innovation camp
The Youth Innovation Camp is a 7-week after-school program that empowers youth to pursue business and project ideas with the aid of our consultants and local advisors.
Participants have the option to work individually or in groups to develop their ideas, taking them from concepts to viable projects, and pitch them to a Jury for the chance to win one of three $500 grants to pursue their project. Additionally, the camp features a guest speaker series where participants can engage with local business leaders, allowing them to gain insights and establish relationships in their chosen fields.
The Youth Innovation Camp aims to launch youth into the world and give them a shot at exploring their passions with their local community supporting them, and will lead into a second round of the Youth Innovation Camp in 2025 that will provide additional access to our team of consultants, financial support, and development resources of value to young entrepreneurs.
To financially support this project or to volunteer as a mentor or guest speaker, please contact us at hello@a77inc.com with the subject "Youth Innovation Camp".

OUR THOUGHTS ABOUT… 💭
Bridging the Innovation Gap:
How COMPANIES LED BY Gen Z are Redefining Traditional Business Practices
In an era marked by unprecedented technological progress and evolving societal expectations, Gen Z-led startups are making waves across industries, challenging traditional business models and reimagining how organizations operate. Known for their dedication to transparency, ethical practices, and social impact, Gen Z entrepreneurs are paving the way for a future where businesses are as much about making a difference as they are about making a profit.
Revolutionizing Business with Purpose
Gen Z is a generation that deeply values authenticity, inclusivity, and social responsibility. As these values permeate the business world, they are driving a shift from profit-centered models to purpose-driven strategies that create a positive impact on communities and the environment. This shift in priorities is fostering a new wave of startups focused not only on solving consumer pain points but also on addressing pressing social issues like climate change, social equity, and mental health.
Gen Z-led businesses are committed to creating value beyond the financial bottom line, integrating practices like transparent pricing, eco-friendly production, and community engagement. This approach not only resonates with a socially-conscious customer base but also builds brand loyalty and trust.
Creating a Culture of Innovation and Flexibility
One of the most notable ways Gen Z is redefining business practices is through a cultural shift within the workplace itself. These young leaders are pioneering flexible, open work environments that prioritize mental health, work-life balance, and employee empowerment. Unlike traditional hierarchies, Gen Z-led companies tend to adopt flat organizational structures, fostering a culture of collaboration, transparency, and innovation.
The workplace culture in Gen Z startups is designed to support creativity, inclusivity, and purpose-driven work. Employees are given a greater voice in company decisions, and flexibility is encouraged through remote and hybrid work options, which cater to individual needs. This approach not only improves employee morale but also boosts productivity and innovation, as workers feel more invested and motivated to contribute to the company’s success.
Technological Agility and Responsible Innovation
Gen Z entrepreneurs are digital natives, making them adept at using technology to streamline operations and drive innovation. These startups embrace data analytics, automation, and artificial intelligence to enhance customer experiences and improve efficiency. However, unlike previous generations, Gen Z leaders place a high value on responsible innovation, prioritizing ethical considerations when adopting new technologies. The commitment to responsible innovation goes hand in hand with Gen Z's emphasis on transparency. By being open about how they use data and other technological tools, these startups set a new standard in tech ethics. For them, technology is not just a tool for profitability; it’s a means of building trust and delivering lasting value.
